چکیده

The current study is designed to investigate the histological and immunohistochemical characteristics of thyroid gland in adult male Sciurus anamalus. This found that Caucasian squirrel located neck area, below larynx, on both sides trachea. It has two lobes (right left) with cylindrical shape. studies revealed surrounded by a capsule which consists connective tissue forming layers are outer layer inner layer, adipose appears overlapping layer. follicles different shapes sizes, lined simple cuboidal epithelial (follicular cells). Sometimes it form high or low tissue, dependent functional activity state gland, cavities filled colloid. In addition, there kinds cells spread follicular parafollicular cells, they fewer number larger size than appear either singly clusters occupy sites between within follicle. Immunologically, results observed an immune response thyroglobulin antibodies detect protein secreted turn Moreover, appeared clear cell membrane colloid through appearance brown color specific reaction.

[Anti-thyroglobulin and anti-thyroid microsomal antibodies in thyroid disorders].

Serum anti-thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb) and anti-thyroid microsomal antibody (McAb) in 213 cases of thyroid disorders and 32 cases of non-thyroid disorders were studied. The antibodies were checked by commercial tanned red cell hemagglutination kits (Thymune-T and Thymune-M) purchased from Wellcome Reagents, Limited, England. The positive rates of TgAb and McAb in patients with untreated toxic...

Non-thyroglobulin Iodine of the Thyroid Gland

Thyroxine in the thyroid gland is considered to be firmly built into the protein molecule, thyroglobulin (1). Only after the gland is hydrolyzed with fairly strong alkali does its thyroxine become readily extractable with butyl alcohol. The iodine which circulates in plasma, on the other hand, can be almost completely extracted with butyl alcohol without previous hydrolysis (2). Considerable ev...
